Goldfish are hardy and adaptable fishes, but they prefer hard water. If kept outside in a Pond it should be at least 50-60cm deep in places to minimise the stress of cold winter weather and hot summer days. During cold weather, this deep zone should remain undisturbed by water circulation and will provide fish a refuge from the cold.<\/p>\n
